There are lots of stories about it's origin such as that they were gifts to the wives of Nixon's delegates to China,and that they were accidents as part of a horoscope bag launch. But the true story is somewhere in the middle.

This is a genuine rare vintage Coach Cashin Federal Seal Shoulder Bag in Tobacco Brown from 1972. A true unicorn piece.
